Description
Agapanthus spp.
The classic agapanthus makes for an elegant, mid-sized border grass. It is low maintenance and long lasting, but absolutely beautiful!
Water Requirements: Moderate, regular waterings.
Soil: Fertile, well drained soils
Growth Rate: Moderate
Bloom Time: Late Spring, early Summer
Pruning: Pruning agapanthus is up to personal preference. It may be deadheaded, but it is not required.
Toxicity: Ingestion of roots in large quantities may be toxic. Sap may cause skin irritation.
Tips: Take care to ensure agapanthus does not get rootbound; it is particularly susceptible to stress from the condition.
