The Shumard Oak is a highly adaptable tree which is great for urban or suburban areas.
Water Requirements: Moderate water needs. Tolerant of some drought.
Soil: Acidic, well draining soils.
Growth Rate: Moderate
Temperature: Leaves fall in cooler temperatures after changing color!
Pruning: Not needed
Tips: Shumard Oaks are generally easy to transplant as long as they get plenty of water initially!
