Flax lilies are beautiful ornamental grasses. I mixed mine with agapanthus in an area with no irrigation and it’s done well for years. You do have to water it regularly to get it established, then just cut it back in late winter/early spring, before the new growth comes up from the ground, then you’ll have fresh leaves all year.
