Soil: Fertile, well drained soils
Growth Rate: Moderate
Bloom Time: Late Spring, early Summer
Pruning: Pruning agapanthus is up to personal preference. It may be deadheaded, but it is not required.

This is a beautiful, low-maintenance perennial that does well in zone 9A. Most of the year it’s just attractive leaves, but when it blooms in the spring, it’s fabulous! I have mine planted with flax lilies and it makes a stunning low-maintenance bed. That area of my yard has no irrigation, but it doesn’t seem to mind and has survived over 5 years. I watered it regularly the first month or so, then let it go.
